Allsop Pro Audio Cleaner

Whether you use cassettes to make mix tapes or to keep an audio archive of your younger days, you need to keep the tape deck clean to preserve the sound and the tape itself.

While cassette tapes are convenient and portable, they’re also fragile and limited. Cassette players are exposed to dust and hair, and every time you play a tape it leaves behind tiny pieces of metal called oxides. Build up of oxides and dust will dull the sound and even cause the tape to get caught in a sticky roller, stretch and break. In other words, your tape gets eaten.

The Pro Audio Cleaner uses three non-abrasive fiber felt pads and a tension wiper arm to create firm pressure and remove stubborn oxide build up. It uses Ultreen cleaning solution to clean the surface of the rollers and the tape head. Using this on a regular basis (once a month or so) will help save your tapes from getting eaten and keep the sound nice and clear.
