Dry cleaning vs. wet cleaning. When it comes to VCRs or cassette decks, there really is no comparison. Dry cleaning cloth tapes are more abrasive, but strangely do less to clean your system. They move the dirt around, but don’t really remove it.

Wet cleaning dissolves dirt and dust and, when done correctly, lifts it all away. That’s how Allsop designed their VCR Cleaners and Audiocassette cleaners to work. Ultreen cleaning solution is included with all those systems, but depending on how often you use them, you might run out. So there’s this huge 2-oz. bottle available for refills. Ultreen is a non-toxic, alcohol-based solution.
