Benz SLR Gullwing Re-tip Exchange
SLR stands for “S” Class, “L” for Luft or air in German, and “R” for Ruby. "Gullwing" is Benz' homage to the Glider symbol. At first glance, the SLR resembles the famous Glider, but the SLR Gullwing is derived from the highly regarded Benz Ruby and the LP S-Class. An open-air design like the Glider, the SLR is the only Benz cartridge other then the LP S-Class with a frame machined from brass. The generator uses the square ruby plate and oversized neodymium magnet similar to the Benz Ruby. Finally, the Benz Dynascan, a Gyger S stylus side-bonded to a solid boron cantilever, completes this outstanding cartridge. Open, sweet, detailed and dynamic, the Benz SLR Gullwing is more than a “Super Glider”. Think of it as the “convertible sports coupe” version of the LP S-Class.

Cartridge Trade Details
All old and used Benz and Clearaudio cartridges have trade value toward new Benz models. This trade value varies based on what model you already have and what model you plan to purchase. Benz also offers an "Other Brand Trade," which allows you to trade in any old cartridge of any brand for a discount on a new Benz. Also note that re-tip exchanges require that you trade in a current model. Please see the list below to determine your final price after the trade discount.
If you have a cartridge that you'd like to trade in, please place an order for the appropriate trade option. We will process the order with the discount applied and ship your new cartridge. We will then issue you an RA number by email or phone. Please reference that number when you send us your old cartridge. We require receipt of the trade within 30 days of order placement, after which point we are authorized to charge you the full retail price of the cartridge you ordered.
