The improvement of the individual parts minimize phase and transient distortion while ensuring the equal output from both right and left channels. Supplied with the Clearaudio Emotion turntable and Satisfy tonearm. The Satisfy's single-screw design made cartridge alignment a bit tricky. The cartridge attaches to an aluminum plate that then attaches to the tonearm via the single screw, which, when loose, lets you move the plate both fore and aft for overhang, and rotate it around the zenith axis. "The lack of a conventional headshell gives you outstanding visibility," said MF. "Every time I used [the Emotion-Satisfy Aurum combo] I was more than surprised by its overall balance of strengths and absence of obvious weakness." (Vol.27 No.6)
