Clearaudio Emotion CMB Turntable w/ Satisfy and Maestro
Recently, we brought this beauty through the store to give a listen. We were all completely astonished at the sound quality derived from such a (relatively) low price tag, especially considering the Maestro cartridge ($1000) is included. The Ceramic Magnetic Bearing (CMB) was a lovely addition to this already spectacular package. It ‘levitates’ the platter, allowing for the least amount of friction possible during rotation. The carbon fiber version of the fantastic Satisfy tonearm allowed the most delicate of inner details to make their way through the signal chain, and along with the Maestro, presented a crystal clear image-completely stable and focused. Aesthetically, it’s sleek and elegant. The frosty acrylic platter compliments the black plinth nicely, and its low height makes for easy implementation in just about any rack out there. All in all, it’s hard to imagine a better turntable/cartridge combo capable of this sort of fidelity-even at a higher price.

This package is truly one of the best offers we've seen from Clearaudio to date. Not only does it feature the ceramic-magnetic bearing upgrade, but a Maestro cartridge is included as well. The bearing upgrade alone yields substantial improvement over the standard Emotion, but add the Maestro to the equation and you've got one of the highest value packages in this class.
