Denon DP-300F DetailsThe DP-300 is a two-speed, fully automatic turntable with a built-in phono preamp. It has been designed with a heavier plinth for reduced vibration and heightened performance. The headshell allows for any standard mount cartridge between 5 and 10 grams to be mounted and balanced, and it is removeable, so you can switch between cartridges with ease.
“Fully automatic” means you can completely start or stop your turntable with just the push of a button. The arm will move itself in to place at the beginning of the record, play until the side is done, then return to the armrest, starting and stopping the motor accordingly. This not only makes the DP-300 easy to use, it also keeps the needle away from your records when the music stops, preventing unnecessary wear on both the needle and your vinyl. Set the automatic start for 7” or 12” records, also with the push of a button. The turntable can be operated manually as well, if you prefer.
The built-in phono preamp allows you to plug your turntable into any receiver or amplifier, without having to purchase a separate preamp. If you have your own preamp, or if your receiver has an input labeled “Phono”, then simply turn off the built-in preamp with the switch under the platter.
