EPOS ELS 8 Mini Monitor
Epos's latest speaker the ELS 8 (an improved version of the ELS3) has arrived. The ELS 8 is physically larger than the 3. The all new design incorporates a 5" woofer with polypropylene cone and 25mm voice coil. It has an all steel chassis and shielded motor system. The injection moulded trim ring is blended into the cabinet. The smooth frequency response is designed to produce lower frequencies than the ELS 3, this is achieved in part by a bigger cabinet volume. The all new Epos metal dome tweeter used in the ELS 8 has a metal mesh grille and ferrite magnet and is shielded, whilst the multi-element crossover has been engineered to extract the best possible performance from both drive units. The internally braced cabinet is rear ported and has a stylish curved front. The ELS 8 features a curved silk cloth grille and is available in black oak and black oak only. The Epos site features a photograph of a pair in light maple, but as it doesn't sell, we will not be importing this finish.
