Goldenote S-1 Integrated Amplifier

The newest S-1 series Dual-Mono is the entry level solid state stereo integrated amplifier using a proprietary Mirror-Amp™ electronic design, enabling the preamplifier section to work as a superior class A amplifier.

The Mirror-Amp™ is a gain stage made with a proprietary cascade differential amplifier with a mirror current, producing a super-linear signal, thus virtually eliminating distortion.

The power supply is handled by two different custom made transformers. The two transformers are dedicated to the audio signal, while an internal galvanically insulated power section controls all the functions that could adversary affect the sound of the amplifier, such as the motorised volume control, the checking relays, the power ON led light and even the micro-chip used for some electro-mechanical functions.

The S-1 does not have active or passive filters on the audio signal path.

We designed four thermal switches to turn off the amplifier power when it reaches an internal temperature of 80°Celsius (180°Fahrenheit). This feature, while preventing, dangerous operating conditions also enables the amplifier to achieve the very best sonic performance.

The S-1 has a wide inductive and resistance acceptance so it can be matched with a very wide range of audio cables.

The S-1 chassis is made of Steel to minimize RFI and EMI interference.
