We have been building quality audio turntables for over 30 years now, which makes us one of the oldest manufacturers still in business. The GyroDec turntable has been around for over 20 years, and even its first incarnation can still be upgraded to the latest status. Michell turntables are precision instruments, built to last, and to reproduce sound as close as possible to the mastertape.
Michell's newest turntable has the sound quality one would expect from a Michell product, yet at a really affordable price. The TecnoDec shares a similar vinyl-damped acrylic platter, inverted main bearing and DC motor to that of the GyroDec, but dispenses with a sprung subchassis. Isolation feet and a stand alone motor housing ensure minimal noise pickup. The TecnoDec is so simple to set up, with no complicated adjustments. Comes complete with an outboard DC power supply.
Special RB250 tonearm is sonically superior! Has Tecno Weight, VTA adjuster and knurled hand nut installed and is sonically superior to the RB300.
Our new entry-level turntable, taking the low-noise DC motor and the impedance-matched platter of the GyroDec, along with an advanced bearing on a simple solid-plinth design. The Michell TecnoDec requires no user-setup or maintenance.
Stereophile By Michael Fremer, May 2006"...In fact, the Michell TecnoDec with modified Rega RB250 arm is so good that, if you've got $4000 to spend, it makes sense to get it and a $2000 cartridge than it does to spend a wad on a 'table, then suffer till you can afford a really good cartridge."

AudioFile AV Decked with Technology By Khairan Nasir, August 2006"...What struck me most on my initial listen of the Tecnodec was the quietness of the background – the little Michell pretty convincingly pulled off that almost blacker-than-black quality that is a hallmark of the high-end."
