The Mordaunt-Short™ Performance™ 6 is a full frequency, three way floorstanding loudspeaker which combines dazzling sound quality with equally striking styling.

A 10cm (4”) midrange driver – featuring the latest in neodyonium motor design and two 16.5cm (6.5”) woofers – ribbed for ultimate stiffness – sit in their own enclosures and are mounted to the rear of the cabinet. This not only connects to the most rigid part of the enclosure, but also isolates drivers from any front baffle distortion.

Bringing everything together is a three-way crossover which uses only the highest-grade audiophile components and is mechanically isolated to ensure distortion free speaker operation.

Our goal of acoustic perfection has created a series of "firsts" for the hi-fi and home cinema industries resulting in uniquely designed and manufactured components.

Performance is the result of a three-year research and development programme at Mordaunt-Short which culminated in major technological advancements. Progressive technologies include a radical proprietary polymer resin cabinet construction, which has incredible inherent mechanical strength.

In addition, Performance sees the launch of Mordaunt-Short's patent pending ATT™ Aspirated Tweeter.

Stereophile Review
The Mordaunt-Short Performance 6's tonal balance is unusually smooth and impressively neutral, though careful selection of ancillaries will be necessary to keep it from sounding a little too forward and bright—especially as the bass, though agile, is dry and lacks a little ultimate weight. Imaging is impressively free from boxy effects and coloration is very low, though the complex crossover network might well explain the slight lack of dynamic expression. This is an exceptionally stylish loudspeaker that is beautifully finished, stuffed with innovations, and sells at what must be considered a realistic price.
