The MMF-9.1's sophisticated design innovations and elegant appearance leave little to be desired in a high-end turntable. The stand-alone motor, triple-plinth design, high-mass acrylic platter and carbon fiber tonearm amount to impeccable sound quality. You'll be awake all night listening!
"...great detail, a stable, solid, generous three-dimensional soundstage, and coherent tonal and harmonic pallets." -Michael Fremer, Stereophile
The Music Hall MMF-9.1 turntable, their flagship model, is a 2-speed belt driven audiophile turntable employing the unique triple-plinth construction developed by Music Hall. The distinctive design isolates the critical sound reproducing components; the platter, main bearing, tone arm, and cartridge on the top platform from the adjustable tip-toe feet, electronic speed control, and wiring which are mounted on the bottom platform. The motor is isolated on its own vibration damping base and completely decoupled from the turntable. Sorbothane hemispheres separate each of the three plinths and provide additional vibration damping. The MMF-9.1 comes in a high-gloss piano black lacquer finish and is available with or without a cartridge.

StereoMojo review of the MMF-9.1 By James L. Darby, April 2008 "...Listening to LP’s such as Led Zep 4, Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House”, “Back in Black” by AC/DC and the like on the 9.1, elicits a very visceral, physical and emotional response."
