The Entry-Level Classic, Now With a Carbon-Fiber Tonearm and the Acclaimed 2M Red Cartridge!
The Debut turntable has been a best-seller since it's introduction, and with good reason: It was easy to use, sounded great, and cost far less than its competition. Its influence on the audio market was profound, ushering in a new category of entry-level turntables as Pro-Ject and other companies tried to capitalize on the resurgence of vinyl records. Each iteration of the Debut since has offered the same outstanding reliability, simplicity, style, and sound quality for a price that all music-lovers could afford.
Now, Pro-Ject has raised the bar again with the Debut Carbon
! With improvements in nearly every facet of design, the Debut Carbon breaks new ground, offering a set of features never-before seen in a turntable under $500. Each element contributes substantially to the overall sound of the turntable.
The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon now comes standard with an all-new, one-piece carbon-fiber tonearm
for superior resonance control. To better support the record, the platter is now a full 12 inches
in diameter. This alloy platter is also more massive, resulting in smoother, stabilized rotation of the platter for an all-around sonic improvement. Additionally, the motor suspension has been bolstered with sorbothane grommets, minimizing motor noise and rumble.
The stock cartridge has been upgraded to the outstanding Ortofon 2M Red
. This cartridge has garnered multiple awards for its exceptional value, and its performance and versatility has been recognized by several respected reviewers. Finally, the Debut Carbon now comes with an RCA junction box
, allowing you to easily upgrade your RCA output cables if you choose. Tone Audio Review, June 2012
