Rega P7 Turntable
The design of the P7 is based on the effective implementations of the P9. The plinth is a complex CNC machined skeletal structure of medium-lightweight fiber composite encased in highly rigid phenolic resin laminates. The main bearing assembly is engineered to extremely tight tolerances. This results in virtually friction free rumble-less performance which, if lubricated correctly, will last your lifetime. The ceramic platter is a more affordable adaption of the one used on the P9.
The TT PSU and motor anti-vibration circuit is a combination of the innovative P9 power supply along with an improved P25 anti-vibration motor drive feeding the P9 24V AC synchronous motor. It uses a wall-wart transformer, therefore keeping the sources of hum and noise well away from sensitive cartridge and phono leads. These attributes will enhance and control the turntables effectiveness to reproduce music free of extraneous noise.
The RB700 is included with the P7. It is a clear upgrade over the RB600. Some of the key areas of improvement are the bias housing, bearing assembly and construction materials. It's designed to make cartridges work harder, maximizing cantilever motion as much as possible with the utmost accuracy, thus providing new levels of information retrieval.
