Whether you're a novice or a professional looking for the current high standard in DJ turntables, look no further!
The Stanton ST-150 and STR8-150 turntables bring the sound and build quality to meet any professional's expectations. The heavy-duty steel chassis is extremely durable, while the isolation feet eliminate feedback even in noisy environments (like a packed nightclub!). Its powerful direct-drive motor packs twice as much torque as its brethren; it starts and brakes on a dime, so you can cue tracks and have them up to speed in no time.
Other key features include the speed adjustment and key-lock for matching the beats when mixing, and a “reverse” switch - perfect for the creative turntablist. Again, the motor's performance is exemplary; it changes its speed or direction in well under a second. The speed/pitch adjustment slider has 3 range settings: +/- 8, 20, or 50%, which are switchable with the touch of a button. Each ST-150 has two distinct start/stop buttons on the front and back of the 'table for easy access from either side.
The ST-150 is, in spirit, the successor to the acclaimed Technics SL-1200, but with critical changes. A built-in phono preamp and a digital S/PDIF output distinguish it from it's older cousin, adding connectivity options to meet the demands of a more modern market. It comes in two variants: The ST-150's s-shaped arm keeps proper cartridge alignment over the entire record for the highest fidelity, while the STR8-150 features a short and straight arm that hugs the groove for skip-free scratching.

DJ Magazine Review Stanton STR-150
The ST/STR8-150 is undeniably a superior turntable to the recently upgraded Technics Mark 5G, while attractively also costing around £50 less for a pair. Every major DJ equipment manufacturer now has some serious contenders in their range to take Technics scalp, but 1210s remain notoriously enduring and popular. It will be interesting to see if this new offering from Stanton is the one to finally change the status quo.
