How to use your revolutionary VC-1 Vinyl Cleaning Antistat Kit
This unique professional system consists of:
A specially formulated cleaning fluid that safely dissolves oil film, loosens microdust and other debris and reduces static charges--yet, unlike convectional fluid, has no solids or other impurities that could remain in the grooves and cause residual noise
A velvet high pile brush specially designed to reach deep into the grooves and remove contaminates.
When to clean you records:
How often to use this kit is a matter of individual preference, but certain times are recommended:
When you get "pop" and "crackles," indicating the presence of debris.
Whenever a record is found to be noticeably dirty.
Often enough to keep microdust from becoming visible to the naked eye.
Very dirty records may require a repeat of the cleaning procedure for best results.
To supplement your Vinyl Cleaner, we recommend you use the Stanton SC-4 Stylus Cleaner Kit to keep your stylus clean and preserve your vinyl records.
Instructions:
1). Place the record on a flat, clean lint free surface.
2). Sweep both sides of the record with the dry brush direction of arrows on handle.
3). Shake the bottle of fluid well before using. Open the dropper cap and apply three to four drops of VC-1 fluid along the edge of the brush pad.
4).Sweep this damp edge of the pad along the record grooves in the direction of the arrows to clean the grooves of dust and dirt particles.
5). Then sweep the record grooves with a dry portion of the brush in the direction of the arrows until the surface of the record is dry and clean.
Note
To ensure proper results, continue to sweep record surface after it is dry to insure removal of all debris.
Do not use excessive fluid when cleaning your record. When cleaning several records blot excess fluid from the applicator brush with a paper towel.
VC-1 Vinyl Cleaner is safe for use on old 78RPM records.
