Thorens TD 295 MkIV

The primary goal at the beginning of the development of the TD 295 MKII was to use well established techniques to create a perfect sounding and elegant turntable.

Something new with all the special features and the reliability Thorens has been famous for, for more than 100 years. Also an elegant design with an outstanding finish should be part of the new TD 295 MKIII. The technical requirements have been achieved by using a solid wood chassis in a sandwich technology. This is one reason for the sound quality of the TD 295 MKIII.

Also, a massive aluminium platter with 2.3kg is used to get enough inertia and weight to make sure vibration is absorbed and speed fluctuation are very low. The motor is a fully electronic regulated synchronous motor using a belt to drive the platter.

The new TD 295MKIII stands on decoupling rubber feet and offers both speeds 33 and 45 rpm by electronic speed selection.

The new TP 42 tonearm is supplied plug & play ready with an Ortofon OMB 10 cartridge. The TD 295 MKIII also offers a semiautomatic switch-off made with opto-electronic devices that add no extra mass to the tonearm.

We produce three colors to meet your requirements: white, mahogany and anise (light) wood. All are covered with a high-gloss multi-layer piano finish.

So the new TD 295 MKIII is a perfect partner for music lovers.
