Multi-Layer Carbon-Based Noise- and Crosstalk-Dissipation SystemThis cable's negative conductors are covered with partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene. This remarkable material reduces radio-frequency garbage being fed back into the amplifier. Dielectric-Bias System with Radio Frequency TrapAll insulation between two or more conductors is also a dielectric whose properties will affect the integrity of the signal. When the dielectric is unbiased, dielectric-involvement (absorption and non-linear release of energy) causes different amounts of time delay (phase shift) for different frequencies and energy levels, which is a real problem for very time-sensitive multi-octave audio. The inclusion of an RF Trap (developed for AudioQuest’s Niagara Series of power products), ensures that radio frequency noise will not be induced into the signal conductors from the DBS field elements. Double Counter-Spiral GeometryAll AQ "Tree" Series cables have an inner circular array of positive conductors spiraling in one direction, around which the negative conductors spiral in the opposite direction. This makes possible the significant performance advantage of having the positive and negative conductors cross each other instead of being parallel. The critical need for positive and negative to have a fixed non-changing relationship is ensured as the negative and positive groups are in fact two tubes with a perfectly consistent relationship. The result is an astonishing clarity, like focusing a camera lens you had no idea was so far out of focus.
Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation (For All Positive Conductors)Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Tower, however, uses air-filled Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation on both conductors. Because air absorbs next to no energy and Polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile, Foamed-PE, with its high air content, causes much less of the out-of-focus effect common to other materials.

After owning NBS statement Extreme SPKR cables for many years I needed a change I took a leap of faith and bought a pr of Audioquest Red wood SPKR cables. Lets just say they're the finest cables ever to set foot in my system. After 150 hrs of break in they opened up a new window in my system I've never heard before. the naturalism of the cable from top to bottom is stunning. Voices sound precise, extended without any etch. Bass notes to the lowest octave can be heard and felt. Music as a whole is a pleasure to hear I'm highly recommending these cables for anyone serious about getting closer to the music with a passion the hear what it's all about.
