While theoreticians debate whether the true nature of the universe is analog or digital, one constant in our audiophile galaxy is that the music, dialog, and sound effects which reach our ears is analog. In order to preserve this precious cargo, AudioQuest has designed a range of analog interconnects optimized for the single-ended world. Bridges & Falls take advantage of years of carefully balancing design and material selection in order to bring you a series of interconnects which, as much as possible, "Do No Harm" to the original audio signal.

To respect different budgets and honor the wide breadth of applications, AudioQuest offers seven models of these new multi-application low-distortion analog interconnects. All include AudioQuest’s proven design expertise featuring: better metals, superior geometry, and our exclusive Noise-Dissipation System. For the upper four models, we employ Air-Tube Insulation, while the top three models use AudioQuest's amazingly effective Dielectric-Bias System (DBS).

Great sound and great pictures, music that consumes you, movies that transport you around the universe ... all come from honoring the original signal. An unavoidable fact-of-life: Every component and cable in a system causes some amount of distortion. These aberrations add up, like layers of foggy glass between you and the image. The goal of high quality components and cables is to be like clean clear panes of glass, altering and distorting the information as little as possible. Some of the most fundamental distortion mechanisms are honored and addressed by AudioQuest’s 4-Elements. Any improvement in these areas of design and materials results in less damage and a more effective, immersive experience.

Solid Conductors

Electrical and magnetic interaction between strands is one of the greatest sources of distortion in normal cables. Separate solid conductors prevent interaction between strands.


In addition to insulating, all conductor coatings are also a “dielectric.” Signal flow is slowed down and distorted by a dielectric, making the choice of mate- rial, and AQ’s Dielectric-Bias System, very important.


The relationship between conductors, whether of the same polarity (+ & +) or opposite polarity (+ & -) af- fects many electrical and mechanical parameters, in- cluding capacitance, inductance, RF Interference, etc.

Metal Quality

Conductor material quality has a pronounced effect on the signal passing through. Different materials have more or less impurities, grain boundaries, surface irregularities, etc.

    Great performance for the price. Build quality is good and the sound is crisp and clear. Good treble and bass. A good upgrade over standard RCA cables.



    These “Tower” interconnects from Audioquest are great. The cables are very flexible and pliable and the connectors fit easily, but snug enough to make a good connection. I don’t believe that spending hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars on interconnects will make enough of an audible difference to warrant the cost. (The only exception possibly being the connection from my turntable to my phono preamp where the signal level is much lower and much more susceptible to noise. For that connection I might upgrade to the “Golden Gate” interconnects.) These entry-level Tower cables do the trick for me: good enough, but not over the top. I purchased a 2m cable to replace a Monster cable that runs from the record out of my amplifier to my mixer and a 3m cable to replace a Radio Shack cable that runs from my mixer to my 24-bit, 96kHz audiophile sound card. It’s too difficult to do an A/B comparison but my impression is that the Tower interconnects provide a slightly better high frequency response, “Air”. The noise floor, as measured by my real-time analyzer, remains about the same, at about -70 dBu at 60, 120 and 1k Hz.

    Smooth Dialogue


    I find that the Tower interconnect is a very good choice for voice dialogue when used between TV’s and external sound sources. Dialogue is smooth, natural and airy. I sometimes think that optical and digital cables are too revealing and sibilant, particularly on program material that is poorly engineered at the source.
