    A Heavenly Cable Switch

    by -

What do you do when your audio gear does not meet expectations? You talk to folks who have auditioned many products and can provide guidance.

Forums are useful, but human nature often leads us to overrate what we own. I find Chris and the folks at Needle Doctor quite helpful. It is rare to find an audio store where long-term customer satisfaction trumps short-term profits.

My goal was full-bodied sound. The last resort was replacing recently acquired Audioquest cables, gradually, to evaluate each cable change.

The TT-PhonoPreamp-Preamp segment replacement brought an "Oh", a start in the right direction. Replacing the preamp-amp segment added a "My". My confidence in the Cardas Irridium interconnects grew.

Switching speaker cables from AQ Castle Rock to Cardas Parsec brought "God" into the picture. I'm not religious, but only through an "Oh, My God" can a former Catholic altar boy express this much satisfaction. Now to sell the AQ’s and keep the peace at home.
