Dynavector 17D3 Retip
Ratings & Reviews
This is a fabulous cartridge. I happily used a Dynavector 10X4 mk II for many years, but then received a Dynavector 19a Karat (an older-spec version of the 17D3) when I bought a used turntable. I really thought the Karat was just a little more refined, neutral, natural and detailed than the 10x4 - which it should have been at the higher price. I replaced the 19a Karat with a 17D3, enjoyed that for about 7 years, then finally replaced it with another 17D3. I love this cartridge and think it is a superb value. I use mine on a Linn Ittok LVII and know I would even hear better sound with a better tonearm. I unhesitatingly recommend this cartridge. And oh, by the way, I don't blindly adhere to the hi-fi hierarchy, which would have me upgrade my LP12 and ittok before I could justify enjoying this wonderful cartridge. On my humble system it really sings, and listeners in my music room often compliment me on the sound of my system, not that that really matters.
