Little Fwend Universal Tonearm-Lift
Say 'Hello' To My Little FwendWe are two kinds. The other kind are fine with the sound from a delicate stylus trapped in the dark inner circle of a vinyl record. Once upon a time in Japan, there was a device that safely took care of business. This device is long gone, disappeared into the twilight of the black market. We wondered. Why? It was not an aesthetic masterpiece, but the mechanics functioned well.
2014 - Inspired by this servant of the peaceful mind, we set out on a journey to design an automatic tonearm lifter that filled the void - and then some. Little Fwend is the automatic tonearm lifter that has one mission. It lifts the tonearm up at the inevitable end of a vinyl record. It does it safely. It does it smoothly. It does it looking good.

My favorite new Fwend!

My GF bought this for me as a gift. It is pricey for what it is, but I love it! I previously had the Q-up, which I liked, and it certainly did the job. But, it is finicky. It would go out of adjustment often, even with some tape on it.
In comes my Little Fwend. I love it! I'd definitely buy it again! It looks great on my turntable, as if it were originally part of the table. It has a very strong magnet in the base, which is fantastic. You stick a small metal disc to the turntable, then attach this magnetically. So, if you need to make a small adjustment, it's simple and easy. But, mostly once you set it up, it stays where it needs to be. And, when the record ends, it lifts the tonearm gently. Much nicer than the QUp, which kind of "thwacks" the tonearm. Plus, no ugly tape holding it in place.
My Fwend is here to stay. If you don't mind a bit of a spendy accessory, this is a good one. You know you want it... order it! Your other fwends will think you're uber cool!
