The Solution to Unwanted System Noise: Parallel Filtering

The Z Series of power products from MIT uses patented parallel “AC Filterpoles”™; a tuned LCR technology. MIT Filterpole technology eliminates reflected energy by efficiently attracting all forms of AC noise from the mains and discharging it to ground, converting it into harmless thermal heat.

Z Duplex—the Perfect Way to Retrofit AC Line Conditioning

Designed to be easily installed in new or existing wall outlet receptacles, the Z Duplex is the perfect solution for that newly installed or upgraded home theater. The result? Once the Z circuitry is working to clean, condition and protect your AV system, you will instantly enjoy “blacker” blacks, deeper color saturation, and increased shadow detail; movie sound tracks come through with much clearer dialogue. Foley sounds and background music become more distinguishable, with theater-like quality. Because Z Filterpole technology lowers the noise floor, you will enjoy pinpoint audio image placement within a lifelike soundstage, all with clear and authoritative bass.
Features:
  • Three patented, parallel tuned filters engineered to remove noise from any 50-60Hz AC power line
  • Elimination of common mode and differential mode noise
  • Designed to fit in standard electrical receptacles
  • No special tools or adaptors needed.
  • Installs in minutes
  • Ideal for all analog components

This has to be one of the best bang for bucks in power filtration/protection out there. I had heard good things about this product but I was not ready for what I heard when I installed it. Noise floor is dramatically improved. The midrange becomes smooth, more liquid, far less silibance that I didn't even know was there; and all presented in a natural, neutral, smooth manner. Bass is more defined, and more extended. Dynamics are greatly improved with pin point precision. I know this all sounds like audio cliche here, but it is something you have to hear to believe, and once you do I doubt you'll find words that are far from these to describe what it does. I use two, one to feed my soures (DAC, Reclocker, BLU RAY, Apple TV) and another for amps (Receiver, Subwoofer) and results are great. The good thing about these is they work in parallel with other Z Duplex that are 3 meters or less away. So if you have them installed like that way, like I do, the filtration is optimized. One thing to take into consideration is, unlike other power filters dynamics are not compromised using the Z Duplex. I'd say on the far side of contrary, dynamics are improved vastly because of the blacker background, bigger soundstage and beguiling midrange. Add to this surge and spike protection, and you'll understand why this I say this has to be one of the best bang for buck out there. No A/B testing necessary here, you'll notice the improvements right away.
