I just purchased this unit and I am wondering what would happen if I plugged it into my phono input.
Way better than I expected. 5 stars

this is a good bargain for a entry level turntable set up. sound is clean, clear, and punchy. attack and decay preserved. a few steps up from avg phono preamps built in entry level amps and recievers. the music flows and non fatiguing for long periods of listening. recommend this phono preamp to anyone who wants good sound from vinyl on the cheap. worth every penny.

Farzin, written by someone who OBVIOUSLY has never heard the product in question. The sound from this product is just fine. I would describe it as better than average with fine detail. Perhaps not the airiest highs or the tightest, most extended bass, but for the price is does just about everything right, with the correct compromises chosen. A fine value, and HIGHLY recommended. I would say you likely cannot do any better til you get into double the price range.
Outstanding for the money. Easily recommended

Farzin- Great review! Very informative. Intelligently written.
Music Hall stuff sucks...this is NO different. No subsonic filter and horrible sound;-(
Incredible value.,very well built !!!!
My Sony stereo preamp ,the phono input both 1 &2 had issues.
so i purchased a rather inexpensive one , intending to have the pre amp repaired at a later date. Well i was not impressed, sound was too bright ,thin, tinny.
Then i saw the Music Hall , ordered it and what a difference, rich warm sound , well built , a little more output. Very pleased
