This is for you if you need a preamp.

    Excellent !!! Easy hook up.

    A surprising upgrade.

The phono section of my vintage Sansui 9090db monster receiver finally gave up the ghost. Before I went all-in with a new amp, I decided to go for a phono preamp first. I'm always researching equipment NeedleDoctor so I decided to just call them and ask for a recommendation. After describing my equipment I was recommended this preamp so I just decided to trust the salesperson and go for it. It arrived in two days. Big improvement compared to the old built-in phono input. Better than my $300 cartridge upgrade (which was worthwhile as well). I can't compare it to any other preamps because this is my first. Only slight downside is it's a little light and tilts on its back legs under the weight of the cables in the back.
