I picked up a used Technics TT with this model on it and decided to replace it with the exact same stylus just to see what it could do. Turns out its a nice little budget stylus and was easy to install. I'm very happy but 3 stars because it is middle of the road at best.

Solid in every way since the 70s

I always loved my FF 15 XE MKII cartridge. Nothing really sounds quite like it these days, as it's an old Moving Iron design. Ortofon doesn't make MI cartridges anymore, but they luckily make this stylus. Although a lot of people will opt for more modern stuff, there's a certain richness and character about this cartridge that I always loved. Don't get me wrong, for the cost of a cheap dinner for two, it's not going to perform a sonic miracle, but you don't need to empty your bank account for something that's enjoyable to listen to.
