Pro-Ject VC-S Record Cleaning Machine
Pro-Ject USA HQ Release AnnouncementToday’s a big day at Pro-ject USA HQ - the long awaited VC-S cleaning system has arrived, and let us be the first ones to tell you this thing REALLY sucks!
...which is a great thing because the VC-S is a wet vacuum cleaning machine... get it?
Now that we have the obligatory vacuum pun out of the way, let’s explore what makes this machine the best on the market for anywhere near its price point.
The new VC-S (which stands for “Vinyl Cleaner S”) is a wet vacuum cleaning machine that employs the most powerful suction available at this price point. Both the vacuum arm and all moving parts are made of metal for precision, durability, and ease of use. Increased suction and precise manufacturing combined with a fast and reliable bi-directional motor allow for all liquid to be lifted from the record surface in only one or two revolutions saving you an average of 70% time over the competition. Or as we like to say, “clean and dry in half the time!”
Clean is one thing, but records are more than just their playable surfaces - we have labels to protect too! With that in mind, the included one-piece screw clamp was specially designed to not only secure the record firmly to the motor, but also to create a watertight seal over the precious record label - protecting and preserving an area that most other cleaners overlook.
In order to ensure years of bother-free operation, all expendable parts are user replaceable, and the large-capacity (2.5-liter!) fluid reservoir is easily drained with the included pour spout.
An attractive acrylic dustcover is available for separate purchase (creatively called Cover It VC-S, $35). A 100 mL bottle of our own proprietary Wash It™ cleaning fluid is included, and is safe for cleaning both standard vinyl and 78-rpm shellac records. Sorry Edison cylinder collectors, we’re shunning you yet again.
With all of these features and an indisputably competitive price point at $499.00 (without dustcover), the Pro-Ject VC-S is poised to be the next big thing in quality vinyl cleaning systems to hit the analog market.

I have cleaned about 200 albums with this RCM and am very happy with the results. I had some really dirty albums from the late 60's and early 70's that have been given new life. I love my vinyl and am slowly cleaning all of my 1000 albums. It may take a while but this RCM is definitely up to the challenge.
