Rega EAR Headphone Amp
Headphone lovers rejoice! The Rega EAR Headphone Amp has been redesigned from the ground up for better performance, noise reduction, and a matching aesthetic to the new Apollo-R, Brio-R, and DAC. The EAR benefits from a comploetely new surface mount PCB layout based on the hugely successful and award-winning Brio-R integrated amplifier. This includes the design ideals of the cascaded emitter-follower output stage and a pair of complimentary Darlington output transistors, along with polyester film and Nichicon FG capacitors in critical positions. It pushes the Brio-R amplifier circuit concept to a whole new level, however, with the use of a low noise fully regulated power supply and an external mains transformer. This reduction in noise along with a low output impedance makes it suitable for us as a studio or Hi-Fi headphone amplifier. The new EAR is housed in a compact case designed to match the current range of electronics (Apollo-R, Brio-R, and DAC) with a high-gloss front fascia. It is available in Black only.
