Rega Neo Turntable Power Supply

1 Review

If you purchased your Rega turntable in the US and it came with a wall-wart PSU only (P3-24, RP3, Planar 3, or any table that has been fitted with the 24V Motor Upgrade Kit), please order the 60Hz version.

If your 'table was purchased in the US & originally came stocked with a NEO-PSU or TT-PSU (P7, RP40, RP6, RP8, Planar 6), order the Neo in 50Hz. Feel free to call us for assistance!

The Neo PSU is an advanced turntable power supply providing user controllable fine speed adjustment, advanced anti-vibration motor circuit and the convenience of electronic speed change. The Neo will make a welcome addition to any compatible Rega turntable by reducing motor noise, improving speed stability and rotational speed accuracy.

Rega Neo Turntable PSU Innovations

Using the same DSP (digital signal processing) generator found in the RP10 the Neo is built upon a high stability crystal. The Neo features an advanced anti vibration circuit, fine motor speed adjustment and the convenience of electronic speed change. The DSP generator will divide the accurate signal from the crystal to the exact frequency required to turn the platter at the selected speed whilst will producing a near perfect sinusoidal waveform to drive the 24v motor.

Sensitive instrument, power conditioning required

by -

Using in conjunction with a Planar 6, I initially encountered some issues with intermittent (and dramatic) speed drops during use which now appear to have been fully resolved through an upgraded power conditioner. I believe that the Neo PSU may be highly sensitive to periodic voltage drops below 117 / 118v and would advise users to ensure that power quality is appropriately matched to this device's needs.
